Basic 200's
Objective : 8 x 200 @ any pace
Recovery : 200 jog recovery
Keenyans : Me, Andy , James , Clint , and Erin
Result :
32 / 32 / 32 / 32 / 32 / 32 / 32 / 29
Overview : It is really good to do something. The sharp pain in my left side is down from sharp aggressive pain to manageable dull tightness. In fact getting up on my toes felt better than trotting around. I have been stretching and rolling a tennis ball on my butt constantly. That with Jess's torture elbow rubs are helping. I have talked to some friends who have had the same piriformus injury and it takes awhile. I am going to ease back into it. I hope to salvage some sort of fall season but we will see. The Keene group and everybody has been very supportive and I appreciate it. Anyway, Andy had a huge workout of 5 x mile all under 5 minutes. He looks good and is in full marathon mode for Bay State.

Fingers Crossed
I haven't run a step in 7 days until today. My lower back is killing me. I ran three miles this afternoon before seeing the Doctor and they were absolutely the most miserable miles I have ever run. I am a bit nervous about the severity of this injury. Especially since I have never had one before that has prevented me from running. After the Doctor's visit he recommended getting some X-Rays for a herniated disc. However, he adjusted some things and when I got home I didn't feel that bad. I ran 4 as soon as I got home. They weren't that bad. No hitch in my stride and I even did some pick ups. I hope this goes away soon because Hartford is close.
